Dr. Paul W. Chase began practicing dentistry in 1984 and then moved to open his own practice at the Lancaster mall in 1985, where he was known as "painless Paul from the K-Mart mall". In 2003 Dr. Paul Chase moved his practice to 321 Sherbrooke Street where our practice is now located. Dr. Janet S. Smith practiced in Halifax, NS at the Fall River Dental Group from the time of her Dental School graduation until joining our practice in 2007. The practice was very fortunate to have the addition of Dr. Smith as she is a born and raised West Sider.

In 2020 we were very happy to have Dr. Forward join our practice to help support the practice and look after our growing clientele. From practising at the Gateway Dental Centre in Oromocto Dr. Forward moved back to her home town of Saint John. Dr. Forward works great with children and offers nitrous oxide sedation, which allows for extra comfort and relaxation to anxious patients during certain procedures.

Our Dental Hygienists
All of our Dental Hygienists attended Dalhousie University for their education in dental hygiene. Before obtaining their degree at Dalhousie, all of our hygienists began their post-secondary education by taking courses in Arts and Sciences at universities across the Maritimes.

Our Dental Assistants
We are very fortunate to have Dental Assistants from various backgrounds of educational institutions here at our practice - each Assistant having their own unique skill set. Lori has been with our practice for over 30 years as Dr. Chase's Assistant. She attended Holland Collage to obtain her diploma in Dental Assisting. Kim attended the Dental Technician Course at the Canadian Forces Health Services Training Center in Borden, Ontario. Chanda attended Nova Scotia Institute of Technology for her education. Christine graduated from the Dental Assistant Academy of NB 2007.
